NATURALIZATION AND CITIZENSHIP
Naturalization is the process by which U.S. citizenship is granted to a foreign national after he or she fulfills certain requirements. Lawful permanent residents can apply for naturalization after living in the U.S. continuously for 5 years. Spouses of US citizens can apply for US citizenship after three years of obtaining their green card.
We will assist you through the entire process of applying for Naturalization, from filing the paperwork to preparing you for the interview. We can also assist you in applying for green cards for other family members who can benefit from your acquisition of citizenship in the United States.
Even while you are a permanent resident waiting for the time that you become eligible to file your citizenship application, we will guide you on the requirements of continuous residence and physical presence in the U.S. so that you are aware of the potential impact of any extended travel or stay outside the U.S. on your eligibility for naturalization to U.S. citizenship.
We also handle derivative citizenship cases to determine if a child automatically becomes a citizen (either at birth or when a parent naturalized), or if the child is eligible to apply for citizenship.
